Colour and nature

I am passionate about how nature uses colour. We can use this inspiration to find the perfect colour combinations for our outfits.

Nature effortlessly inspires

I love to take photographs when I’m walking by the beach or over the Peaks. I’m always amazed at the shapes and colours of plants, trees and flowers and how they change at different times of the day and season. I love the enormous skies, dramatic or still seas, shiny rocks and rugged vegetation of the beach. What amazes me most are the perfect colours and colour combinations that nature uses. The dramatic contrasts or the subtle differences. These combinations are perfect and can teach us so much about the colours that we can wear and how to wear them.

Perfect for the warm and soft palette amongst us.

Yellow can be a bit tricky, but look how beautiful it is here when combined with these pinks and lilacs.

A beautiful soft green combined with a soft tan. These are some of my colours and nature is teaching me how to wear them in a perfectly blended way.

I love the combination of primrose, soft white, blue and lilac.  But who can wear these amazing colours?

We can all wear purple.  But which shade and which tone?  There are so many as you can see.  This is beautiful and works beautifully with the primrose yellow and soft white.  I feel a wedding coming on!!!!

Beautifully soft, blended and a deeper splash of colour

Some wonderful suggestions and combinations from nature if black is a bit too strong for your look. Try fabulous blue, charcoal and softer greys. Wonderful ideas for a soft, blended look. Look also for the strong contrasts. Fabulous.
