This statement echoes a sincere comment by a male friend of mine. ‘Women are beautiful. You have got everything to make you beautiful. It’s a question of highlighting it and making it obvious’. I love that.
Do you feel overwhelmed by so many styles, trends and clothing choices? Do you have difficulty with putting an outfit together for that special occasion or when meeting friends? Do you struggle with creating a look that reflects who you are? Is your wardrobe full of items that neither match, fit or flatter your body shape? A style consultation is not about making you look like a picture in a magazine or the shape that high street shops and celebrities dictate. Unfortunately, we all aspire to these influences at some time throughout our lives. It’s not about having the tiniest waist. It’s about enhancing and flattering the beautiful shape that you are. It is about finding the best outfits that make you look stylish, balanced and comfortable. It is about seeking outfits for your natural shape, lifestyle and budget. It’s about the positioning of your hemlines, your waistline, your neckline and the amount of detail and fullness that you can carry. It is about celebrating and enhancing the part of you that is most flattering. It is about finding the best fabrics and accessories. It is about giving you confidence, having fun shopping and going out. It is about dressing for you. Just wait for those compliments.
Do I really have a style personality?
During the consultation, we will also look at your style personality. You could be Dramatic, Romantic, Creative, Natural, Classic or even City Chic. Maybe you are one or a mixture of two or three. Perhaps you already have some idea of your style personality or I may surprise you. Maybe you are more creative than you think! This is a fun activity that will open up an entire world of alternative choices.
What will happen during my style consultation?
During the consultation I will help you to
- select the most flattering styles and fabrics especially for you.
- express your personality through your clothes and accessories.
- achieve a perfect fit every time when shopping for clothes
- develop a co-ordinated and varied wardrobe so you can maximise its usage
- apply your new look with confidence, whatever the occasion.
- emphasize what you like best about your body and cleverly disguise what you don’t.
- learn how to accessorise with scarves, shoes, bags and jewellery
- discover how to identify your priority purchases
- avoid expensive shopping mistakes
- learn about your most flattering fabrics and prints
I ask you to bring three outfits with you to your consultation. Bringing items from your wardrobe will help you see for yourself why some styles suit you as well as why others do not. This is a fascinating experience and sometimes quite an eye-opener.
We will also look at the very latest fashion update and magazines. You will then know ‘what’s in’ and where to shop to suit your lifestyle and budget. Also, there is a selection of ‘Colour Me Beautiful’ books that you can buy. Each contains masses of style and colour information to help you remember all that you have learned.
You will also receive a 28-page personalised style workbook detailing your scale, proportions and body shape. This will be invaluable for your shopping trips and help you avoid expensive mistakes and clothes that only the hangers will wear.

To get the best out of this experience, it is probably best to have a colour consultation before embarking on style. This ensures that your new style is in exactly the right colour for you. You will then have an outfit that you are wearing instead of the outfit wearing you!!!!! Please see my colour page for further details.
