Viva Magenta!

Pantone’s colour for 2023, Viva Magenta, is described by their website as ‘vibrating with vim and vigour’ and ‘expressive of a new signal of strength’. It doesn’t stop there! It goes on to say that it is ‘brave and fearless’ and a ‘pulsating colour whose exuberance promotes a joyous and optimistic celebration’.

Gosh, I’m exhausted by the very notion of wearing this vigorous and fearless colour. It is needless to say a beautiful colour but, sadly not for me. It would however be fabulous and more suited to a ‘Cool’ palette courtesy of it’s blue base. For some a lighter or deeper version may be more flattering. It can also be worn in either a blended or contrasting way depending on your palette. 

I wonder if Magenta is the colour for you and, if so, how would you wear it?
